Septic System Install

Don’t pay for trial and error!  With over 30 years of experience, Avalanche Septic Services, LLC has been servicing the Poconos and surrounding regions with experience, hard work, honesty, and integrity.  We do all of our own soil testing and septic system designing in-house.  This means no scheduling delays or increased cost to the consumer caused by dealing with a third party for engineering and designing.

When we are called out to test for a new septic system, the local government agency referred to as SEO (Sewage Enforcement Officer) is not your consultant, and he or she may or may not recommend locations for testing.  They are strictly there to witness test results.   It is up to you, the consumer, to either be knowledgeable enough about septic system placement or to hire the correct firm that has the experience and know-how to judge soils and locations for the best suitable test sites.  It’s something that we have been doing for nearly 30 years.  Any persons within our company that are sent out to do testing will be knowledgeable to choose the best suitable location for the optimal placement of your new septic system.

Avalanche Septic Services strives to be on the cutting edge of technology.  Members of our staff are trained and certified in alternate systems, some of which include drip irrigation, spray irrigation, filtered membrane systems, and drip micro-mounds.  We are equipped to handle any need that you could have in the area of conventional and unconventional septic systems.

Keep in mind that not all failed septic systems require complete replacement.  We specialize in proprietary repair methods and are constantly developing new repair techniques.  We work hand in hand on a daily basis with the Department of Environmental Protection on a state level and all sewage enforcement officers on a local level.  Our knowledge, expertise, and quality of workmanship is second to none, and our outstanding performance is recognized by the above-mentioned government agencies.

Grinder Pump Sales, Service & Installation

Many people are unaware of what a grinder pump is, or what it does.  Quite simply, a grinder pump is a waste management device.  Waste from water-using household appliances (toilets, bath tubs, washing machines, etc.) flows through the pipes of your home into the grinder pump’s holding tank.  Once the waste inside the tank reaches a specific level, the pump turns on, grinding the waste into a fine slurry, and pumping it to the central sewer system.

Avalanche Septic Services is a leader in the grinder and sewage pump industry.  We maintain the largest pump inventory in the area.  Due to our large inventory of products and high sales volume, no one can match or beat our prices.  We have an in-house rebuilding shop, where we rebuild pumps of any make or manufacturer, and we are capable of motor rewinding and machining of specialty parts. We custom-design sewer mains, lift stations, and control panels for commercial and residential applications.  If you are a commercial developer, residential developer, or an individual homeowner, we have the capabilities to meet any of your needs.  We have the products in stock with no wait.  Any of our technicians that install pumps are factory-trained and certified.  We build custom controls and panels to control these pumps that are required for these applications.

Septic Inspections

Avalanche Septic Services has PSMA-trained employees to perform septic inspections.  These inspections are very important when purchasing or selling a home.  Regulations are becoming more stringent every year, and the Department of Environmental Protection for the State of Pennsylvania will not tolerate malfunctions of on-site septic systems.  With the rising costs of materials and fuel, repairing and replacing these systems is becoming more and more costly.  If you are planning on purchasing a home in the state of Pennsylvania, and you are not planning on using a qualified and certified septic specialist to evaluate and inspect the existing on-site septic system, you could be purchasing a $15,000 to $20,000 repair bill, along with the price of your home.

A PSMA certified inspection is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your system is functioning properly.  If a home is vacant for a period of time, the only way to tell if the system is functioning is to perform a hydraulic load test.  We perform hydraulic load tests in a very non-invasive way.  We are constantly developing proprietary techniques to implement these non-invasive methods.

Tank Locating

We have the latest, most cutting-edge equipment to locate underground lines and underground tanks and any other components that may be involved with an on-site septic system.  It is not uncommon for people to be totally unaware of the location of components to their existing system.  We are capable of using underground cameras to determine the location and condition of underground components with minimal excavation.

Septic Tank Pumping

Septic tanks need to be inspected and pumped every three years.  Unfortunately, many people don’t think about their septic system until they begin to have problems with it.  Regular tank cleaning is important, because these systems often give little or no advanced warning that repairs are needed.  Toilets flushing slowly or overflowing, pooling of water around your septic system or in your basement, washing machine overflowing, or sinks backing up when you flush or do laundry are all indicators that your septic tank needs to be cleaned

Avalanche Septic Systems offers outstanding personal service from the beginning of your service call to its completion.  From your initial contact with us until the job is done, you will receive only our very best.  Our highly trained service technicians will haul away waste material to an approved processing facility, as well as advising you on repairs that may need to be made to keep your system at peak performance.
